Enjoy treats from our merchants, a balloon artist (4–6 PM), a costume station by Free Arts NW, and a fun costume contest. Kids in costume are entered into a raffle for boo baskets and gift cards!

East Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District is excited to partner with Rockwood Common present a Creating an Edible Landscape workshop!

This workshop will give you insight and tools for incorporating edible plants into your landscape. From annual veggies and herbs to perennial berries and fruit trees, we’ll discuss design tips, ways to build fertile soil, and how to conserve water while producing a harvest. You will also learn about native plants that feature edible fruit and nuts, and how to invite beneficial insects to your garden. You’ll walk away ready to assess your site and make a plan for a beautiful (and delicious) landscape!

East Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District is excited to partner with Rockwood Common present a Climate Resilience: In Your Yard and Beyond workshop!

Learn how climate change is impacting soil & water resources, and what that means for local plants, wildlife, and people. We’ll share how our choices and actions at home, in the yard, and in the community can increase our resilience to a changing climate. Tips range from building healthy soil and conserving water to selecting the right plants. You can be a part of the solution, starting right at home!

Adding a beautiful rain garden to your yard can help protect local streams and reduce flooding. Learn how to assess your property for the best rain garden location and size, choose the right plants, and how to construct and maintain your rain garden.

This is a sale event for beginners-to-experts who are interested in plants! We are not focused on any specific grouping of plants, we want to see them all! We are looking for 50-60 vendors to sell plant and plant-related products, art & craft. This will be FREE entry for all. Please dress weather-appropriate. As we know, the weather can be unpredictable. Come purchase plants, plant/nature themed art, crafts, jewelries, tools, make friends, eat food, enjoy yourself!

When: September 27th 2025 10am-4pm. This will be a 1-day event because there isn't a good way to secure merchandise over night.

Cost: This will be free entry for guests.

Location: The address to this is 458 SE 185th Ave. Portland, OR 97233. The address is still a little off on many GPS but the complex occupies the space between SE Stark and E Burnside, on SE 185th and SE 187th. Parking can be found all around the complex including the public spaces by USA Pawn and the courthouse across the street. THIS IS AN OUTDOOR EVENT.
